Yes, I'm all filled up for this year. I already have my ten varieties selected for this year and that's about all the room I have left this year for tomatoes. About 10 yrs. ago I would grow 20 tomato plants. And when I first started sprouting my tomato seeds in the late 70's I would plant over 100 plants. Then after a few years I reduced it to about 50 plants. And slowly as the years passed I'm down to 9 or 10 tomato varieties. All this to say I'm gonna have to wait till next year for Prue.

Aunt Eula's Rockhouse Pink - Ind, RL, pink, beefsteak, 8-16 oz, ~80 DTM. I highly recommend finding the story about Aunt Eula, here at T'junction. Her brother, Amon, in his 90's, still grows the pink and the yellow.

Dr. Suds Capon Bridge - Delectation of Tomatoes has a description. It appears to have a good lineage in passing down seeds, going through the hands of Dr. Sudduth, my assuming it's THAT Sudduth.

I'll work on the others Monday.

@Nan6b Bijskaya Roza is a regular leaf pink beefsteak 8-18 oz. Mid-early. Meaty and said to be very sweet.

It looks like I may be moving Kitayskiy Oksamitoviy from the Eastern European category to the Hot Weather category, according to Tatiana's report.

I have 7 seeds left, which will be split up into 2 packs. One pack may already be reserved. I'm looking for a volunteer in a very hot area of the country to trial it.

I grew Peremoga 165 last year and it didn't exceed 3 ft in height. Flavor decent with a firm skin which is typical of many old Soviet varieties. It's a determinate but with a somewhat extended harvest period and does well in containers. The following is a quick translation of a description and history from a Russian language site:

Tomato 'Peremoga 165' is a selection variety of the Belarusian Research Institute of Potato and Horticulture. Permitted and use in the Central, Volga-Vyatka, Central Black Earth, Lower Volga, East Siberian and Far Eastern regions in 1951.

It is recommended for cultivation in an open ground and under film shelters.

Dimensions and form of growth:

Variety 'Peremoga 165' is represented by determinant, low- and medium-sized plants with moderate foliage. The leaf is ordinary, medium size, green and dark green, slightly corrugated.

Inflorescence simple, sometimes intermediate, compact. The first inflorescence is laid over the 6th–8th leaf, the subsequent ones - after 1–2 leaves. On the main stem, 2-5 brushes with 2-4 fruits are formed.

I received a few of Kitayskyi variety as part of my package. Being that a 90 day variety is really pushing it here, I'm happy to send it back if needed.

Think I may have to dig out the ol' Prue seeds after reading positive comments here, and somewhere else where it was highly-rated. I almost grew it once, but someone put me off.....

...who may have been me. When I reviewed it a few years ago, I said that I was a bit disappointed in it. I didn't mention that I rated it a 9-, rather than a 9, or a 9+.

It may be a fairly long DTM variety, and it can have low production (from what I hear, not experience).

Have to be honest here folks, Prue tasted like old smelly deplorable socks to me A very singular tomato that lives on in a bad way for my taste buds...After hundreds of tomatoes in my gardens, in all honesty Prue was highly anticipated and my least favorite of any tomato I ever tasted.

Maybe its my own personal Purple Calabash equivalent,,,not sure, however Prue was both stingy in production plus skanky to me!

It takes many people's opinions to make the world go round, right?

Did you harvest late in the season? That's when most of my tomatoes go skunky. Also, do you remember the fruit shape(s)?

I don't think it was especially late..there were just maybe 3-4 smallish fruits in total, all bad. They were between a paste and a heart shape-elongated and far thinner than other hearts I grow. I will see if I took a pic.

With all very thin hearts, it could be an off-type due to a cross or mislabeled seed. While Prue does sometimes produce thin hearts, it's known for fat bomb/acorn shapes, along with some unclassifiable shapes, and fairly large (6-16 oz) size.

I received Grandma Oliver’s Chocolate.

I have seen conflicting information online - some say it is a dwarf or compact determinate, others that it is a tall indeterminate.

If anyone has grown it, could you advise if it would be suitable for a 5 gallon bucket? Or if It should go in the ground.
