Placed my first orders from these shops located in France:
Tomatofifou and
Cultive ta Rue.
Wish I did not even look at those sites, but here we are.

Lol, I know exactly what you mean. I ordered from Cultive ta Rue last spring just because there were so many interesting new types, even though it was too late to plant them that year. Now I have to decide which to grow this year.

Yes, I was supposed to put a moratorium on buying more seeds. I am still working on things I bought in 2020. Not too mention the crazy amount that comes from the MMMM swap. I need more years to live or more space in the garden.

I'd also say more space in the garden, @Toomanytomatoes, but there are only so many hours in a day! And remember, I have to cook at least some of this stuff, and eat it!

I have spent so many hours browsing TomatoFifou and Cultive ta Rue

Ordered from them both last year with no issues, apart from 1 variety in each order was a cross, but I guess that's to be expected sometimes.

Thank you for the recommendations. I have added them to the list.

Placed an order to Pinetree Garden Seeds for some Basil and lettuce seeds last week and 4 days later they arrived in the mail. I am very impressed with their quick service !

I received my seeds from Renaissance Farms (ordered Dec 3, confirmed Dec 21). Not bad! It only seems like a long wait because some orders to other places came within 5 days.

I ordered from both TomatoFifou and Cultive ta Rue on Dec. 22. Both companies shipped the next day. Cultive ta Rue arrived Dec. 29th. Gosh that's faster than some letters sent to me from within the USA.

Tomatifou and cultivetarue are associations of growers sharing their interests about tomatoes etc. They sell seeds but are not allowed to make profit (law 1901, a French peculiarity). They invest their money saving old varieties, buying equipment, hothouses etc.
Bestknown organic seller in France is Kokopelli

Vendors from Ukraine that include Ukrainian heirlooms among their selections. All have English options on their web pages and have been reliable for order accuracy and shipping. I've occasionally found that a few, particularly non-Eastern European tomatoes, don't always grow true to type, but they've been excellent sources for most E. European tomatoes and other veggies as well.

Also, has anyone previously mentioned the following seed sources?

The Experimental Farm Network is great. I've ordered from them for both my mom and my myself and we've both had success with their seeds. Thanks for bringing it up again because I hadn't been to their site since they put out their new for 2023 list.
For international sellers, I've bought from this one in Latvia for the last couple of years. She's been very easy to deal with. I can often find varieties that they talk about on the Russian tomato forums, which is great.

I've bought a lot of neat things from them. If you have your eye on their Everglades tomatoes, I have a ton of seed that I can share for that. Not the same strain, but it's been dry farmed and self-reseeded here on my property for about 10 years and it'll keep going until a frost finally knocks it down. I also have a ton of Nanticoke squash seeds. This year though I bought 2 packs of Joseph Lofthouse's Panamorous tomatoes. He was kind enough to send me seeds a few years ago, but they're not self-pollinating and the three plants I ended up with didn't pollinate well. I want to try again with a larger cluster because they're supposed to have a more tropical, fruity flavor compared to common garden tomatoes.

Unfortunately it looks like TomatoFifou won't be selling any seeds for a while:
"For health reasons, the shop will close on February 12, 2023, for an indefinite period. Orders placed before this date will be processed and delivered. After this date the site will always be accessible but any order entry will be impossible."

After a week of intense tomato research I got my order done this afternoon from Bounty Hunters ; what great, swift email communication from Shawn. There was a mind boggling abundance of outrageously cool tomato choices with beautiful photos. I have butterflies the seeds are already on the way , really amazing !
Wolverine was so tempting but i didn't get it , maybe next year.
