She's very very cute and looks ornery too. The thing is, it doesn't matter where one acquires their pet as long as they (and their parents, if applicable) have been well cared for and it's a good fit for your family. Adopting a rescue dog is wonderful, but acquiring a well-bred dog from a good breeder ensures the continuity of breeds. There are positives about both. Hopefully she'll grow up into a new heart dog of her own making. I know the pain of losing a special friend and am going through a struggle right now with my 14 1/2 year old who has cancer.

I'm so very sorry to hear about your pet. It's hard to watch one who gave you so much decline. I am sending you peace and strength to help get you through these very very hard times.

Not pounding on anyone who buys a critter but all of mine of which are far too many to count have been adopted or from the shelter.
Some even adopted me and or us when my wife was alive.
I remember one Pinky that was a small little kitten in our front yard.
Someone just dumped her and drove on.
It was playing with our other dogs and cats that evening.
Come time to let them in she came in with them and lined up at the feeding station.
My wife asked what are we going to do with her.
I said nothing she can stay or leave not our choice.
Pinky stayed for many years.
