I received the start F1 seeds in yesterdays mail as well and I will start two different sets, one early and another at the regular time. Thank you VladimirMrBig46 for providing the seeds and RJGlew for mailing them to Colorado.

I would love to try this next season - (Sept '21). Did someone from the US receive a bulk shipment that I can contact to see if they have any left?

Thank you for such a generous offer.

Vladimir,

I do not see Start S F1 listed on Semo website today. I hope it is just an oversight and not because they are discontinuing the variety. Have you ever saved and grown out seed from the F1?

Justin

Barbara,
Robert (R.J. Glew) has enough seeds for the USA and Canada. You can contact him directly and he will certainly send you the seeds. I can also send him your address if you send it to me in PM. But I think you've been communicating with each other for some time.

I don't know why this is the case, that in the English version they offer only a few other hybrid tomatoes, but Start F1 does not. Try this web address:
https://www.semo.cz/osivo-semena/hobby/ ... ve/page/2/
Start F1 seeds are one of the best-selling and therefore I do not expect entrepreneurs such as SEMO or Moravoseed to stop supplying these seeds. I have never tried to grow F2 of this hybrid tomato. The price is relatively low, the seeds are available everywhere and so it would be unnecessary work. I reckon that I will offer a lot of seeds of this tomato in the autumn MMMM organized by Tormato.

That is strange they do not have it listed on the English version, I used your link and used Google Translate to read it. Thank you very much! I am glad to hear it is a widely grown variety, I am looking forward to growing it this year.

For those interested in seeds, the event of sending seeds of Start F1 is still continuing. My friend Robert from Calgary and I still have enough seeds. Just send a mailing address and in about eight or ten days you can have the seeds at home. This tomato is really hard to find on Google, because its name is a very often used word in English, so some information is on Tatiana´s TOMATObase:

Vladimir, is the above picture from you? It looks like in this picture, the tomatoes are pruned to 1 main growing stem. Do you grow Start S F1 pruned to 1 main stem or do you grow all your tomatoes pruned to 1 main stem? Or maybe this is a picture from another person?

I transplanted five plants the third week of April, had them covered through a couple of cold spells and they are growing great. Nighttime temps are finally consistently 50 degrees at night and today I noticed some little tomatoes. Anyone else have an update on their growouts of Start F1?

No, the picture is not from my garden, it is from the Field Day in Moravoseed. Everyone in the Czech Republic grows these tomatoes on one stalk, all suckers break out. I apologize for the late response.
