I have been trying to find a hoverfly larva to photograph but to no avail. Coming in from the garden after harvesting some potatoes and I find one crawling on my hand.

I think that one is an invasive...
Weird to me how I see the ladybug young and see/think of them as nymphs. But bean beetle young, I correctly identify as larvae. Are the ladybug larvae hairy like bean beetle larvae? Maybe it is because I smoosh hundreds of them each year, they are clearly hairy and soft bodied.
