Tomatoes
New Hampshire Pickling- Nan6b- 12/28/19
Other Wonderful Tomato- EuropeanPoster- 28/12/19

Peppers

Other Vegetables
Beans- Blue Lake- Me2- 12/28/19

The votes are in, and hyphens it will be. I don't know what you mean by columns. Other than Athens and Rome, I draw a blank.

I think if after you compose your post, click on Full Editor & Preview, instead of submit, and there should be a bigger toolbox

Dear Tormato,

Please excuse my morning rambling, I hadn't had my first coffee. Whatever format or system of user input that works well for you is great. I was just feeling a little leery over the prospect of having to scroll through hundreds of posts to find out what everyone is looking for and subsequent updates that follow. A Master Sheet on first post is perfect.

Tormato wrote: Sat Dec 28, 2019 1:34 pm Alex,

Do you come with English subtitles?

As a quasi-Luddite, I understand basically nothing you said (ask MissS ;) ). It sounds good, whatever it is.

The master sheet will eventually stay, and be, the first post, for it will be the only post, as all comments and questions will be deleted after we get to where we want to be.

There's ways to do that, like the address list from the Houzz seed swap.

I searched for an editable spreadsheet tool but didn't find an easy way to make it happen.

I know if you make a personal SS and copy it over it's editable but the descriptions won't line up. If you make every entry in the same column it works like this if you post it as Text.

Tomatoes
New Hampshire Pickling- Nan6b- 12/28/19
Other Wonderful Tomato- EuropeanPoster- 28/12/19

Peppers

Other Vegetables
Beans- Blue Lake- Me2- 12/28/19
Cauliflower- Amazing- LovelyPoster- 12/28/19

Herbs
Hemp- IThinkHempIsAnHerb- 12/28/19

Flowers

Everything Else
Hemp- Scoobydoobie- Willynelson48- 12/28/19
Pawpaw-Everyman22- 12/28/19

This is what it looks like as an image

That is a google spreadsheets document supposedly editable by all. I don't know how to make it so all can edit it, though. Working on it; could use help

Code: Select all

I removed what used to be post #30; not sure what was going on there. Sorry.
It showed the Google docs spreadsheet for the wishlist. Here is a different URL:

(I also edited the URL in a previous post.)

The link in post #35 worked for me (I added a new line for interesting cherry tomatoes, just as a test, Nan).

Would it be better to have separate lists for separate vegetables?

1 main list for toms

as opposed to every veg in 1 list. just my 2 cents humble opinion.

You can post a normal link if you use the link/url button, paste the link, highlight it and click.

I'd like to propose a section where anyone could use help growing out certain crop varieties, either for preservation, swap, food bank, seed library or distribution purposes.
Tormato wrote: Sat Dec 28, 2019 9:33 am It'll be for everything, I suppose. (Where's the eyeroll emoji when you need it?) If there is going to be just one Master Wish List, it could get long. But, listing things in alphabetical order means breezing through the listings, hopefully.

There will have to be a priority. The tomatoes should be at the top of the list.

After that, do we go with other very popular items, like peppers next? And, then perhaps legumes, cucumbers, etc...? Or, should listings after tomatoes be categorized in alphabetical order?

Much like when I run a swap, I'll just be a host. It'll be your master wish list, so input is requested.
