Anyone watch the show "Tough as Nails"? Just started season 2 and it is a competition show for people of all walks of live but most are from the trades, military or high stress professions. I like seeing people like steel workers, welders, ex-military, etc. get some attention and showcase the skills they bring to their jobs.

I've never heard of it.

just when you think things can't get any more weird, my wifes cousin who moved back to the area after
living in ontario during her working career said that you won't find girls clothes for sale in canada now.
i guess they want the girls to be able to decide if they want to be girls or not. all the clothes are unisex.

our country, the usa, has passed legislation eliminating the words father, mother, brother, and sister,
replacing them with parent, and sibling in legal documents.

i dunno......

Can you provide a link to the legislation you cited?

I looked and from what I can see is only passed for the House or some such thing not a national law.

Got totally bushwacked yesterday and had to go to a class with other guys I could have taught myself.
The guy doing the class I have known for over 20 years.
Sometimes people would ask questions and he allowed me to answer.

Totally beat to death this week.
What a nightmare.
Getting up at 3:40 AM and getting home at 7:PM.
It's been stressful for all of us to say the least.
Can't find a better example of chickens coming home to roost.
And you pay for what you get.
I'm so sore this morning I can't hardly move.
Took forever to crawl out of bed.

I did something last night and this morning I haven't done in years..
I got home and made supper.
Chili on spaghetti.
Started watching The Great Escape and fell asleep at the table in my chair about the time they were drinking moonshine for Christmas..
Woke up around 7 and went to bed to read fell asleep again.
My cat woke me up with her wiskers
She does this on purpose for what ever reason.
I think she is checking on me.
Got up at 4 am and drank some water and went back to bed.
Didn't wake up till 10:30 this morning.
I haven't slept that late but maybe once or twice in over 6 years.
Plus all this week and last I have been able to get a full 8 hours sleep in every night.

I was looking at a Field and Stream article on a particular type of antique ammunition and a pop-up appears saying Find teenage girls near you.
I was flabbergasted and backed out of the site as fast as I could.
I don't look at anything like that and have no idea why it showed up.
It has been the only time this has happened on this device.

worth1, something may have inadvertently got into your browser. You may want to run some checks as mentioned below.

Nope just that one site.
I almost never go to what one would traditionally consider male oriented sites so I emagin that was the reason for the popup add.
Could have even been a trap setup by law enforcement.

Might be a sign of malware on your device. I would invest in some good malware software like Malwarebytes and a good antivirus software.

working a four hour shift is hard.
huh????? what, you getting soft, keith? heck, i could work four hours standing on my head
with one arm behind my back.
here is why its hard.
my partner needed me to cover for her a couple days, so yeah no problem.
normally, we work a ten hour shift during the week. you have a chance to ease into
the day, and get a feeling for how the day is going to go. coming in at 1pm, the day is
already ripping along. there is a pile of scripts to check, the phone is ringing, the drive thru
window is dinging, someone is there for their covid shot, someone else is looking for their med
that the drs office was supposed to send, but hasn't yet. can you call the office? then a little later
there is someone that wants to talk to you, and you know its going to be a ten minute conversation,
because thats the kind of person they are. a nice enough person, but count on ten minutes.
oh, and your next covid shot is here.
there is just no time to adjust. you have to hit the ground running.
but, it is just four hours.

I used to do that. It is hard. I wanted off the evening shift. The only way I could get a day position was to work two 12 hour day shifts and 2 four hour eveing shifts. 3pm to 7pm. Most of the activity of the shift takes place in the first 4 hours, the second half slows down a bit and lets you get caught up. So you end up trying to do 8 hours worth of work in 4 hours. Now if you were picked up a 4 hour shift that started at the beginning of the day and leaving as it got really hectic, you would have a nice set up. No, I never was offered that kind of shift, either, lol. You had plenty of people who would do 7 pm to 11pm not so much the first half.

a word about stanley.

stanley is a four day old chick. he/she had a rough start to life.
stanley was a late hatcher. its eight siblings were out and about with broody mama when
i came home from work saturday. i crawled into the crawl space underneath the porch, and
found him/her still in the nest, cold, and barely alive. i put stanley in an incubator for a couple
days, and he/she has come back from the dead. stanley is hanging out with the meat chicks that
are three days older building up his/her strength. energy is still not there yet, but he/she is getting
stronger each day. at some point, i would like to reunite stanley with momma, and siblings. the plan
is to slip stanley underneath momma at night when they are in the coop. i don't know if momma is going
to accept stanley or not, but i would like to try. broody momma is a very good mother.
any suggestions?
