Re: How's your weather?
Changeable as is normal for Spring - when we get to have spring here. Was all deeply covered up in darker clouds , gorgeous colors though, cooling down and then the rain came in with a light and sound show that lasted about an hour and a half. Now, sunny and bright, LOL, still smelling very fresh from the ozone and rain. Dogs did not like all the booming and flashes, cat blinked once and slept on through it all.
Rain was welcome here as usual, at least by us. Landlord mowed the yard a week ago and it needs mowing again already. May break out my mower out of storage as I like it kept neat looking.
Bower, that snow is amazing.

Pleasant weather here, partly cloudy, about 80° with a dewpoint in the high 60s. Tropical light, not anything that feels oppressive to me. Forecast has 3 plus inches of rain on the way mid-late in the week.

Re: How's your weather?
I finished up entering March weather data into my record and then compared first quarter and just March rain totals with all the other same periods going back the 24 years I've kept this data. During the first quarter of this year we've had 19.05" of rain, the most of any other year's first quarter going back to 1999. It beat second place 2017 by 2.8"! This March itself we got 6.4", only beaten by 2005's 6.7" so yeah... we've been WET!
More coming on Saturday.

Re: How's your weather?
it is the tug of war of early april.
spring is trying to get her foot in the door, and ole man winter is bent on slamming it shut on her.
currently about 28 degrees, the wind is picking up, another miserable east wind. we are predicted to get
one to three inches of snow/sleet/ice by morning. winds over the next coupla days could reach 50-60mph.
temp is said to reach 40 over the next day or so. we will see. the dog and i are going to be blown around a bit
on our walk. we will not be going through the hay field part of the road today. uh uh.

Too hot. It's 90°F in April. This doesn't bode well for summer even if it's forecast to be cooler tomorrow.

Re: How's your weather?
Currently 76 degrees but was 91 degrees a couple of hours ago and it felt like about 80 then with the winds whipping out there. We have a storm coming starting tomorrow afternoon with a little rain and then rain is projected for all day Thursday and more through the weekend. I don't know if I should spray everything down in the garden with copper or not. I don't want to lose things to rain now that they are going well, but I don't want to spray things needlessly either. Ugh

77° here, pretty juicy air. Front coming in midday tomorrow. Things will cool off some, but with a lot of rain in the mix until Saturday.

Re: How's your weather?
currently 33 degrees, raining, and gusting winds.
it is rather a mess. i took the dog out this morning, and nearly landed in a heap.
the deck was covered in a layer of icy glaze. the steps had snow/ice built up high to the
back of the step, and lower to the front so when i stepped down, my foot went sliding off the step.
i had to hold on to the railing to keep from falling. fortunately for me, there wasn't a red squirrel raiding
the bird feeder at the time or it could have got ugly. i broke the ice up with a shovel right away.
the ground is covered in a crunchy icy surface coat. all temporary, it is supposed to get up to the mid 40s today.
roads are probably icy. we will not need to go out early. some power outages, but we are ok.
wet, and slippery.

Re: How's your weather?
I just read about the ice storm @rxkeith which has left about 200,000 without power in Quebec.
Supposed to reach us tomorrow night.
Alternating sunshine and snow squalls here today. Snowbanks are slowly shrinking. I shoveled for an hour today, the old heavy stuff. It was sunny and very nice at the time. Greenhouse got pretty warm with the sunny breaks too.

Re: How's your weather?
More whipsaw weather ahead! After a cool misty week it cleared yesterday and got up to 89. Whew! It was the first day the AC was turned on this year. 80's again today and then a cold front moves through this evening bringing rain and colder weather again. Says the weather dude:
"We will notice much cooler temperatures Saturday with wind chills in the 40s and 50s all day long. Rain chances are high early Saturday and should stay elevated through most of the day. Sustained winds 10-15 mph and gusts over 20 mph look likely during the day Saturday."
That should be an interesting day at the Masters.

59° here at 07:45. Going to 74°. Been a bit too tropical lately for some of the tomatoes to set fruit well so this cool down is welcome. Looks like the cooler weather will persist for at least another week with beneficial rain coming today and tomorrow.

Re: How's your weather?
Sun splitting the rocks here today after a cold night. The garden is covered in rabbit tracks this morning, they did the wow full moon thing, apparently! And there was some kind of predator left a track as well, can't tell from here but probably fox. Snow is too deep to walk around the house but the snowshoe hares left shallow prints where they galloped up the sides of frozen drifts, even left tracks by my front door. I think at this hour it's back to the same 'Mr. Freezie' slushie snow condition as yesterday, which they don't seem to like as well... Anyway they are sleeping it off!

Re: How's your weather?
59 degrees and the rain has not stopped much since it started yesterday afternoon. It is a nice gentle rain, without too much wind most of the time. One interesting thing I see is that the plants inside the covered trellis are all still getting rain with it coming in from the sides but not from the top because the plastic is on there. The forecast is to have this rain through Saturday with the cooler temps too.

Re: How's your weather?
Over the last day and a half we've gotten 1.5" in a gentle steady rain with no wind and temps in the 55-60 range. Probably more rain today/tonight. I'm glad I sprayed all the tomatoes with Daconil.

I am thinking I should have sprayed too but it's too late now. We have had almost 1 inch so far and more to come.
