I did have some familiarity with the purple category about 30 years ago, but only got it by default! Nothing I would have remembered.

Coyotes, a giant pack of them howling, yipping and barking up a storm not more than 200 meters away, woke me and the dog up. That has nothing to do with connections other than I didn’t need a drop of caffeine to get the mental juices flowing so that connections was easy in spite of it being 2am.

I even knew the connection on the purple, instead of falling into it by default as normal.
Now I will expect a really tangled one tomorrow! I wonder how many people they have making up these puzzles and if they take turns publishing.
