backside had cold damage from being too close to the window,so I picked it now.

Instead of slow rotting potting soil alone I added play sand to the indoor plants to be more like mother nature

I bought the rolls,lettuce and bacon.

I licked it for that old fashioned tomato taste.
Getting seeds out of it may be a problem,as with all windowsill tomatoes in the winter.
Nice and meaty.

Te big question is, how many seeds did you save, and what will you do with them? I'm sure there are people, here (wink, wink), who could help you with grow outs. The more plants, the better chance of a really good tomato.

I used recycled potting soil so I had to make sure it didn't have anything I would despise lurking inside.
I put the warming tray on 100w mode to kill anything in the soil then backed off for days to see if anything popped that was green.
I planted 18 cells with about 2 seeds+ each and they should pop in about 5 days or so.
I still have the clone of the F1 plant alive and picked the mate to that tomato yesterday that was 5 7/8oz.
I am going to bogart the seeds until I see what this year brings.

The tomato pictured was actually overripe but was still a delight to eat on a BLT 2 hands at a time.

I hacked away at the bedroom clone plant yesterday,it was coming to get me.Down to about 2 feet in height.It gets new blossoms every 2 months.
May 23rd it will be 9 months old.I really should re pot into a bigger container.

The soil was a mix of potting soil and play sand

12 days since I hacked branches off and threw them down in potting soil.
About 75% put down roots and are still alive.
The hacked plant is doing it's jack and the beanstalk imitation and is now 4 feet tall to the top of the window.
I prepared a segregated area of garden for that plants' offspring to keep it from crossing with other plants.
Going to give the pizza guy plants next week so he can plant memorial day weekend.
I think they have been weaned into full sun.

I planted 36 F2 plants in a segregated area so they don't cross with anything.
I have enough F1 clones to plant those also in a couple of weeks once I wean them into sunlight.
I can clone the bedroom plant into more clonettes starting next week.
Pizza guy wants some cuke plants once mine get bigger.(suyo long from saved seed)
I can show up to his restaurant wearing a bib instead of a mask.
Will trade plants for food.

plant is 9 months old today in the bedroom.
I took the cutting aug 23rd 2021

I didn't realize it was pregnant.
It has 2 small green tomatoes on the new growth section of plant.
I think adding play sand to the potting soil makes a big difference.
I sprinkle it on top and just water it in over time.
Potting soil isn't even soil,it is just composted leaves and sticks
that continues to rot over time.

2 red tomatoes I picked were 5oz ea but had blossom end rot.
Green tomatoes on cuttings I took are doing fine no signs of BER
Clone is 10 months old today and reaching for the ceiling.

A green tomato on a cutting may be too much stress on the tomato.
F1 clone with green tomato should have turned red like the ones in the house did these past 10 months.
But the 7oz size clone baby looks more yellow/orange like the original kelloggs breakfast.
Definitely not red.
I picked it and put it indoors to finish the process.I didn't want birds pecking it.

I planted F1 clones next to F2 plants I started from seed.

not completely red but good enough.
Looks like the indoor tomatoes over the winter.
7.5oz so good BLT size.

The indoor plants almost made it 1 year.
aug 23rd would have been the 1 year birthday.
I think it just got too hot in the window with foil screen behind.
F2 generation outdoors I picked a 13oz aug 4th
Lots of green ones but the heatwave/drought is putting a damper on turning red.

Except for the one specimen I was able to pick aug 4th the rest of the F2 tomatoes may turn out to be 85 day tomatoes like the original kelloggs breakfast.The only gain would be red color vs orange.
