Planted two 20 gallon grow bags with daffodil bulbs, which have been in my refrigerator chilling for the past 6 weeks. One bag was planted with Goblet, a flower with a yellow trumpet and white perianth. The second grow bag was planted with Apricot Whirl, a flower with a white perianth and a split ruffled apricot corona.

Now I wait....

Yes, peebee, it was quite the surprise when I dug up the corms last fall. Just one corm had about 100 cormlets on it, while many had none or just a few.

@SpookyShoe , are they easy to find in nurseries where you live? Or are they something that you have to really search for or buy online? I have never seen or heard of them, they are beautiful !
I love hardy orchids, like the ground orchids aka bletillas. Used to be found in many gardens here, but very very rare now. Like everything else, they must've been replaced by newer varieties but maybe they will be back in favor one day. Thanks for your pics, they reminded me to check in with the one little nursery that might have them back in stock.

No they aren't easy to find. Sometimes they have them at a family-owned nursery that I go to to find plants you won't see at the big box stores. If you do see them they will be expensive.

I started many years ago with one plant that had a couple of stalks and over the years the bulbs have multiplied to the point where I now have four pots full of them. I keep mine outside unless there is going to be a frost. Then I move the pots into the garage. Sometimes I cover them with grow bags or sheets. They won't have their bloomstalks in the winter so they're not that hard to cover. If you grow them you have to watch out for cold damage. They DO NOT not like cold.

Chinese ground orchid. Cyclamen in a planter. Some generic tulips in grow bags. And future tiger lilies.

I saw some tulips opening up today, in that 71° weather I had.

@pepperhead212 Those are daffodils. They always seem to be the first big blossoms to welcome the spring. I just love them.

I sit corrected - I always thought they were tulips! I have no idea who told me that - someone had to have told me that when they first came up, the first spring when I had my house, as I know nothing about flowers, since most aren't edible! Those have come up every spring, for 39 years now, with no attention from me. I only started growing some flowers intentionally a few years ago, when I got some free zinnia seeds from BC, and since the pollinators liked them so much, I grew them again. And last year the Mexican Sunflowers, which the pollinators liked even more.
