Has anyone grown Afghan Orange? It's supposed to be even earlier than Valencia (70 days vs. 75 days).

I have loved Orange Strawberry, also Orange Banana (although it was prone to blossom rot)

Talking of Afghan tomatoes. Never heard the name Afghan Orange before, but I have tried Ruminator Banjan (seeds from a generous North American gardener), which was a neat, small-ish globe with plenty of seeds in the locules.
I will include it in my next year's 'orange collection'.. for fresh seeds.

Has anyone tried Orange Oxheart? I recently bought some seeds but it's too late to plant now so I'll grow next summer.
For what it's worth I got Midnight Sun seeds here from a member who recommended them & I was very happy with the taste. Technically they aren't orange but supposedly a red\yellow bicolor but to me they can pass as orange. Bred by Karen Oliver.

Uluru Ochre, although it's not exactly orange, it's an orange GWR (green when ripe). KBX is not an orange tomato, it definitely belongs to the yellows, even if it's a dark yellow.

I'm a big fan of Golden Buddha. It has a bit of a salmon color on the inside and tastes really good. Midnight Sun is also awesome.

I grew one this year called Ludmilla's Peach that was great. It's more oblong and meaty and makes wonderful paste. But it's really good for fresh eating, too. I'm planning to send some seed into the swap this year.

Dr. Wyche's and Heart of Ashgabat we're fine when I grew them, but didn't really blow me away. It may have been just the year or my taste buds. My daughter thought they were really good.

I'm getting some good ideas for other orange tomatoes here.

Has anyone tried Altai Orange?

Looking for an early/midseason great-tasting orange tomato, if such a thing exists!

I grow Altai Orange every year. It's been the best orange so far for my short growing season and it's very productive with a great taste.

What is the taste like? I am looking for an early/mid season orange/yellow with balanced taste as I have found most so far a bit bland.

It has a creamy sweetness with zip...tangy!

My seeds came from Croatian seeds. I had another selection of Altai Orange and grew them both out one summer and they did exhibit different traits from each other.

Not this year since I wasn't planning on being involved in the MMMM and didn't save seeds. Next year perhaps.

Surprised no one mentioned Orange Banana, been growing for years. Fully ripe. mostly sweet, less ripe adds a tang. And makes a killer sauce.

We grew KBX and Sweet Qzark Orange last year. I had high hopes for KBX but it was bland and not productive. SOO on the other hand was great and will be returning this year.

I LOVE Orange Strawberry and will be growing it again this year.

I too was disappointed in KBX. It was bland and unproductive here too!
