Pert' 'near time for the Jardín del Gotch proprietor to bring seedlings up to the back porch; it'd help if he'd finish assembling that there new Gardener's Supply 2' x 8'/~61 x 244cm Planter Box, parts for which are now scattered hither-n-yon...

I'm going to inventory seedlings and re-pot a few today. Might reseed a few if necessary. I've found a few with that fungal pathogen possibly indicative of a bad bag of media. Next year I might just start seeds from my own compost. It's likely to be more nutrient dense, cheaper, and I can forget to sterilize it myself! Sheesh.

I love elevated planters! I still have the VegTrug in a corner, but it's too difficult to dig out of there and fill. Hauling soil by the bucket isn't as much fun as it used to be!

The Gotch finally finished assembling his Gardener's Supply 2' x 8'/.61 m x 2.44 m Planter Box, and thought first to shoehorn it in between the Pepper Pots and the Kale Patch:

After further review, it was determined to would be a better fit (less crowded) placing it north of the Premier Tomato Raised Bed in the back yard (just outside the Kitchen Window where the lovely and long suffering Mrs. Gotch may keep tabs) where it is now filled with a mixture of sphagnum peat moss and Miracle Grow OMRI Potting/Compost Mix, and awaiting being filled with Herbs:

Seeing this may prove to be a Roof Rat Launching Pad to one of the feeders, the Feeding Station will likely have to be moved.

@Cornelius_Gotchberg Nice! And yes, rats are more athletic than many people, smarter too. They too may be very happy with what you've done.

FYI I made one last post regarding the NFL Draft. A bit of conversation overheard while working the pantry from people who were actually there.

Roof Rats = Squirrels. I can count the number of the actual rodentia species I've seen around here on one hand...with a couple of fingers to spare.

I see. We have actual rats that are quite athletic and run along roofs around here. I think the species is the Norway rat. Gotta love urban living!

Yesterday I direct seeded Sui Choy Chinese Cabbage and Joi Choi Pak Choi along with Champion and French Breakfast Radishes.

Even had enough energy left to plant all the Canna Lilies and Elephant Ears.
