A few people asked me about my red Siberians. I did send some to the swap, but if you want some and don't get any please PM me. I might be able to send a few seeds your way.

@Tormato
I received a lovely package today full of flower, herbs, pepper and tomato seeds. I felt like a little kid opening up a big birthday gift. Thank you so much!! I know you spent a lot of time putting this all together for me as well as all the other members of the Junction. That is a huge undertaking. I really appreciate it. Thanks for including a card so I know what variety of seeds to save for the group next year. And thanks for the chocolate!
You made my day!

Fork lift, or to lift your spirits?

I'd love to try California Sungold. Unless you've already sealed up my package, in which case don't worry about it.

Also, thank you for the effort you put into this swap. It's much appreciated.

When I delete a participant's wish list post, then they will know that their package is sealed. ;)

Thank you @Tormato I received my package a few days ago and finally had time to sit down and sort through them. I can't believe how many you sent! I added all the ones that you listed on the note card to my grow list so hopefully I have a bunch of those to send in next year.

BTW, I finally opened my 2024 MMMM package today, I am overwhelmed at the contents, :o  :D. I do need an understanding of the Elbonian strains of tomatoes. Perhaps I missed that portion of the Dilbert comics series?

But, whatever, there are some serious seediness in these MMMM packs.

@karstopography , there are two threads on the Elbonian varieties, both in Tomato Talk, one by myself on Elbonian varieties and one by @BettyC-5 on Elbonian tomatoes. Both detail our experience with them, with @Tormato linking to TV for the early history in my thread if memory serves me correctly. I believe it currently stands at 5 varieties being worked on.

The original, in the series, Elbonian Mudball, was given that name because I find most dark varieties to have a hideous "earthy/smokey" flavor. If you like most dark varieties, you will probably like Elbonian Mudball.

Elbonian Hip Deep and Elbonian Mudslinger have a "clean" flavor, that I do like. I can't speak for the two pink ones, due to a near total crop failure in 2023, here.

Sorry to have sent such a tough package to open Tormato , please forgive me for the double wrap needing to be whacked by Mack. I was afraid if the seeds weren't secured , sticky fingers might get to them first. I mailed an envelope of seeds to a friend, and by the time she got it she said the side was ripped open and no seeds were inside. That's what I get for enabling everyone I come across to become an addict like me...

I don't remember having any packages being tough to open, or writing about it. :?

I'd rather have packages over-secured than under-secured. Some people ship in flat rate "cardstock" envelopes. Those things almost always wind up with holes/rips/tears in them. I always recommend to first put all contents into a freezer zip-type baggie, and then the baggie into the envelope.

And as for tape, in securing the outside of the package, the Duck E Z Start tape is not as good as the Heavy Duty type tapes, like Scotch.

I have room on board, for now.

It's early March, and I still haven't found my collection of winter squash seeds, nor my pole wax beans. They could be almost anywhere in the house, other than the attic.

As I was in a near sleepless fog last year, when it came to putting the collection away for the season, I had no idea where I put things until I started looking for, and finding, them. Live and learn, as this year things will be put away in an orderly fashion.
