That’s awesome! My friend had a bumper crop of these cucumbers last year. I’m hoping for the same this year

Marvelous!
I don't think I've ever seen one until now, nevermind eating one.
How do they compare with a long English?

Grew the plant on a trellis and cut off all the side branches. Fertilized weekly with Miracle-Gro for tomatoes. No idea how they compare with long English. I had a hard time finding long English, but I have one plant now and it's only 5 or so inches high.

Re: My Japanese cucumber
To me the long English is larger, more meatier with larger seeds, soft texture. Japanese cukes are juicier, therefore have more crunch. The closest cuke to compare it with would be the Persian ones, but they taste watery and aren't as crunchy.Growing Coastal wrote: ↑Tue Jun 09, 2020 9:42 am Marvelous!
