It's summer time. It's time for growing. Happy Summer Solstice!

And with it our temps are due to rise to suit the season, at last.

It's weird, I like Winter solstice more than summer solstice. Probably because with winter, I know we're getting more daylight each day but with summer solstice, we're losing daylight and heading towards winter.

I totally agree. From here on the days just get shorter and shorter. By the end of July it is very noticeable and you know that the end of the season is just around the corner. This year is a very short growing season for me because the cold wet weather lasted so very long this year. But... for now we are into the high peak of our growing season. The plants are pushing and the crops will be coming in soon.

Worst day of the year for me I hate summer and this is the longest day of them all.
Glad it is headed the other way.

Summer can be a little tough on us folks living along the lower latitudes, just like winter can be people for the in the higher latitudes. I try to escape summer at high altitude as much as I can or just deal with sweating. It’s all finite.

We are having a frost advisory tonight, no surprise as the new moon/eclipse is also happening overnight. If the eclipse was visible in this part of the world we would be shrouded in fog, clouds, rain etc. as always for cosmic events , but since it is not visible here, we are clearing out entirely for a temperature inversion and frost. Murphy's law. One thing though, there should be shadows in the sunrise tomorrow to mark the long day, if anyone is awake to see it! And that would be a rare event.
I am not a bit worried about the frost because the ground is really warm, we had a lot more degree-days in late May-early June than usual so I don't expect any damage at all. I just held off transplanting anything sensitive until tomorrow.
