Gorgeously sunny here... 45 F seems like a dream :D even with dewpoint a chilly 28F, Westerlies 24 gusting 36 mph.
Light jacket, rubber boots for the mushy snow, second load of laundry flapping on the line. RH a shocking 50% that is super dry!!

Yeah the rain is coming here next, four days of it maybe, highs above 50F though and I expect a lot of white stuff to VANISH. :)

Like summertime yesterday. Clobbered a rat that was living in the gators motor but its babies are still up in there somewhere; I heard them squeaking. Internet has been bad the past couple of days; it was completely out this morning. Seems to be working now but AT&T must be having problems somewhere. Tower probably flooded in the storm this week.

Crazy, crazy wind, north of west, kinda chilly but just way to strong and constant to want to be outside.

Yeah...I got one row of potatoes in, but the second only got rototilled. Then this surprise storm (even after it started, windy.com says Sunday Sunny 70F, no rain). If I had known about the storm I would have made sure to that row planted. It just rolled in right at dark.

Then I got home and I had left the cloche house open. Thought it would be fine but it kept getting windier. So went to close that before the rain started, and found that the zipper was broken, where the wind flexed it all day. The I realized that the entire Plastic Cover had lifted upward in the wind, such that the bottom flap was loose instead of grounded, and totally whipped my only tray of early tomatoes and eggplant starts.

This wind has been crazy for a couple days, but I was not expecting it to somehow ruin my single most important tray. I brought it inside and bottom watered, we'll see what is still alive tomorrow. I need to go back to straight start to finish soil blocks, every time I dense plant or pre germinate and pot up, it ends up a mess, one way or another.

Continued dry here. March and April going by historical averages are our two driest months of the calendar and this year is no different. According to WeatherSpark.com, March 31st is the least likely day of the whole year to get rain. Spring is a wet season in many areas of the USA, but spring here tends to be dry. Our wettest month is September.

Nice day here today, with a high of 74°, and almost no clouds at all, and I was out there much of the day. Next 3 days have rain forecast, but not much - only 1/4" for all of it, so just those scattered showers, to make it annoying.

rain over night, and today. temps will be highs in the low 40s, and lows in the 30s for the next few days.
would like to see those temps climb about ten degrees higher on both ends, but thats how it goes this
time of year. winds are out of the east/north east at 20-30 mph with gusts up to 50 mph, really blowing out there
right now. the greenhouse frame is fully up at work, but impossible to get the cover on in current conditions.
they have two weeks before plants come in to do it. they are ahead of schedule.

and then again, maybe not so ahead of schedule. the guys had the frame and ribs of the green house up, but not the top
bracing pieces, so the wind pushed all the ribs forward about 30 or 40 degrees. the guys have a little bit more work to do.

I generally do better in humid conditions than extra dry air. My skin cracks and splits in extended periods of dry air, I get nose bleeds, my lips split, my finger tips split open and bleed, my lungs wheeze, my heels bleed. I must be part amphibian.

Generally cloudy here and more dismal than expected with what must be a pretty thick low level cloud layer. Air is 74°, dewpoint 73° the air being nearly saturated with water vapor has that feel of almost being cool. I remember sitting watching high school baseball games in weather like this and having to wear a jacket if there was any breeze and no sun.

Forecast has it going to 81° today, but I’m skeptical it will get that warm. Too much east with the south in the wind currently and still too early in the year for much warmth with winds trending out of the east south east. The Gulf of Mexico directly to the east hasn’t had a chance to get all that warm yet.

The general Pattern should continue until Saturday evening when a new air mass comes in from the continent to drop the dew points a lot and the air temperature a little, plus giving us a shot at some rain.

So I wasn't paying close attention to forecast, brought out all the still small tomato seedlings yesterday. Just had a short bout of hail, bb pellet size. Had to rush out and got soaked trying to bring them under cover. I'd say a few didn't made it. Always some kind of curve ball get thrown at during April here.

Is there some moisturizing lotion you can put on? How about treating yourself to one of those battery-operated water misting fans? I have one. Feels good! :D

Stayed overcast practically all day. Misted while I was out raking. Humid.
Baby rats living in the gator died because I clobbered their mother and they stink. 🤢 Filthy vermin.
Main air conditioner unit is dead, need to buy a new one.
Internet connection has been bad the past several days. Local tower must be messed up or the AT&T people who toyed with it are messed up.

I do pretty well with typical eastern half of Texas humidity. I only run into low humidity health related issues in New England and the mountain west and only in winter.

Cooler this morning - 52° @7 am, and only up to 55° now, and only supposed to get to 57° later, so well below avg. A few lows in the 10 day showing 43°, but getting up to low to mid 60s - about avg, but none of those summer temps we got a few of. More rain from out west tomorrow, but then no more until mid week, but I won't believe that until it happens!

the east wind that was blowing the past couple days really cooled things off.
now the west wind has gotten all riled up and is getting rid of all that cruddy
eastern air so, now we are getting a double dose of that miserable eastern air.
40 degrees currently, but feels like 29. winds from the west blasting at 30 mph
gusting into the 40s. there was a little rain, and i saw snow flakes earlier in the
day. the sun has broken through late in the day. it will get warmer over the next few days,
but colder too. should se some highs in the 40s, but lows will be in the 20s, so there will be
a chance of snow with those temps if there is precipitation.
