I ordered Salpiglossis seed from Baker creek. Any advice?

I grew it once, many years ago. It was quite easy from seed. Surface sow. A very small plant so if you want a statement or for them to show up then place a few in a pot. Pretty but they were not big enough for a return visit for me.

I grew a variety, also years ago, that was about 3 ft tall. I also vaguely recall that the blossoms reacted badly to rain the way petunias do. They were pretty and memorable but I never grew them again.
