Rutgers Virtual Tomato Event

Well, at least they are trying to put something together. Rutgers was my first tomato tasting event. Back then, 80 varieties, the best one was Carbon.
Hay ride around the research fields. Demonstration gardens, etc. Got even better over the years.

When I first looked at it I thought it was crazy to put on tomato ‘tasting’ event where you could not taste the tomatoes! But they changed it from ‘tasting’ to ‘tomato event’. There is always next year for tasting as these events require lots of volunteers and there are many visitors so difficult to adhere to current guidelines.
Glad Rutgers figured something out to do to make the best of a bad situation. Now it is like a virtual workshop where lectures and demonstrations will be highlighted.

I went to this event. I enjoyed the Sungreen cherry. Crisp, sweet. It is a hybrid. Johnny seed has the F1
