That's a great way to trellis. Just walk under and pick the low hanging fruit!
I tried doing overhead tomato trellis one year. It was great but one problem - wet cold and lying on a trellis the leaves and branches got mold. That was not a fun job to clean up at the end of season.
Bet it works great in the right climate though!
