Will mass-sowing work for eggplants & peppers too?

I mass-sow my tomato seeds, it's the easiest & most space saving method for me. But I've never done it with eggplants or peppers, does anyone here do this?
And if you do, at what point do you separate them into individual pots? Thanks.

I mass sow pepper seeds - at least if 10-50 in a cell depending on the size is mass sowing. I have to do that because heat mat space is limited. They come up fine and I separate them into individual cells when they shucked their seeds.
I can't wait for them to get true leaves because by the time they have shucked seed their roots are already often to the bottom of the pot.
I do the same with my tomato seedlings. It is delicate handling but none have complained so far.

Yes, it works fine for both. Transplant when they have true leaves and you'll be fine.

I do just as Rajun describes and it works well for me.

What are the dimensions of the cells?

I'll drop 15-20 seeds in a 6 pak cell and it works.

Wonderful, I can start some tonight. I use pots small enough to fit into 1 cell of a 6 pak, as my 6 paks are not in the greatest condition. So the pots are perhaps 2 in by 2 in. I sow about 6 seeds in one.
Thanks all!

You sound like me, rehabbing 6-packs until they're not repairable. If a crack in a cell appears, out comes the duct tape! LOL!
The ones I've been using for a long time I get from Jung as I haven't found these deep cell ones anywhere else. Five sheets of packs works for me instead of having to buy a ton of them from a greenhouse supplier! They're deeper than the regular 72 count 6-packs and that gives a little extra time before plants have to be transplanted.
