Memorial Grow out for Remy, Stump of the World

Hi,
I have fresh seeds of Stump for all those wishing to participate in the memorial growout of Remy's favorite tomato. Stump of the World is a pink beefsteak with an intense sweet and acid flavor. While production isn't stellar for me, it is fair, and worth a grow. I think of Remy every time I see the plant. I miss her.
Just pm me if you plan to participate in the tribute growout this year.

This is great news Marsha! I am so happy. I was not sure that you were going to offer these this year and I didn't get to harvest a single one due to pilfering. I was afraid that I was going to have to offer some rather old seed.
Thank you, thank you!!!

I'll be growing stump of the world in Remy's honor this year as well. It was one of the first heirlooms I grew and I purchased my first stump seed from her site after reading her description. One of many great varieties I first found on her site.

I have a packet of 2015 seeds from Remy. I guess it's time to bite the bullet and plant some in her honour! The only thing that has stopped me before is that I heard they were on the late side. Perhaps I should start them early......

I'll be growing it this year in her memory with seeds I purchased in 2016. Thks for the kind offer though. My notes say we liked this one but with trying to grow so many different types every year that looks like the last year we grew it.

To honor Remy, I'll be growing it every year. That, and the fact that it is my second favorite tomato, out of about 1,500 trialed. It was the best in my garden in 2019 and 2020. If it's the best in 2021, it may go to #1 (or maybe a tie).

STOW, soon to surpass the vaunted Yellow Pear in Tormato's garden!

As it happens, I bought Stump seeds from her a few years ago. I never grew it out, but it's still in my stash. So in 2021, it will go into my garden in her memory -- and I am pleased to say it will be from seed I purchased from her.

So many losses. These tributes are a wonderful way to remember.

I bought the seeds from Remy many many years ago, and loved the tomato. Never grew it again as there were too many others I had yet to grow then. Now I'm revisiting old favorites so I'll be asking for some seeds Marsha. Thanks 🙂

I didn't know Remy but she seems to be well loved here. I'll be growing Stump because I love it and it surpassed any other tomato in my garden for production, taste, & health, and makes the best fried green tomatoes ever. So she & I share a love. I'll think of her whilst picking, cooking, & eating these.

Reading this, I think she would be pleased.
