next MMMM wish lists

In planning for the next swap, I'd like future participants to go to knapps-fresh-vegies.com (if I spelled it right), and select anything for your wish lists. The MMMM has about $150 to play with from this MMMM's donations. This means ordering about 50 to 100 varieties of tomatoes.

That's fantastic! Its great to see it going to good use.

As for some possible picks:

Rosella Purple
Big Zac

Those two would be nice to add to my growing collection

I'm assuming that is BIg Zac OP? It will definitely go on the list.

Rosella Purple should have no problem in being sent in by a participant. I may even still have some. I received several packages after yours (one of the first) went out. Do you still want more Lady Fingers? And, a few other "giants" came in; Domingo, Big Marley, and Mega Marvin, if you'd like them.

Well, I'm still enthralled with all of the new-to-me varieties from my first MMMM, but here are a few still on my wish list to try. I'm guessing they are probably already circulating in the MMMMs or offers, though :)

Bellota F1 is now Lucky Agi F1 (Fred Hempel renamed it), unless there's an OP Bellota
I know Carol says that she grows out hybrids and they're pretty much the same, but for Fred's hybrids I'd be very skeptical. (Same goes for Green Bee F1.)

A tomato name? That song is a mother load.

From "Crimson Billows", to "Never a Trace of Red", to "Suki Tawdry", etc..., with my next black tomato possibly being "Elbonian Cement Bag".

Another vote for Orange-1 and possibly Dwarf Blazing Beauty. I've tried a few orange tomatoes that didn't do that well in this scorching-summer climate. I'm trying a bunch of dwarf tomatoes this year, and if they do well, I may want to try more of them. On the one hand, the rampant growth provides much-needed shade in the hottest part of the summer. On the other hand, it took me weeks to chop the tomato tunnels into compost. I'm hoping the dwarf tomatoes will provide a manageable harvest and enable me to fit more varieties into my limited space!

I'm growing a couple Orange-1s this year and was planning to send in seed :) It's quite good, I don't know why it isn't grown more. But obviously I have no idea how it does with heat!

Cancel my wish for Orange Pixie. I'm going to be adding it to my 2021 grow outs. I just requested it as part of a SSE grow out/documentation project and, depending on their rules, I may be able to contribute some seeds to the swap at the end of the season.

So far, I'm not even thinking about what seeds I would like if Tormato will make MMMM again this year. But this year I will try some determinant varieties and I will keep the seeds for all of them (I will have plants in the tunnel where the insects can't get). I also want to renew the seeds of those I have not grown for several years and they liked me. I don't know if I will be 100% successful and I also don't know if others would be interested in these seeds.

Hi Tormato,
Not a tomato but I would like to nominate Sweet Success Cucumber. I assume that you would have to ask for a donation for these seeds.

Also just a heads up, I am sending you a PM about another matter.

The kozulas, cream sausage, or any of their oxhearts look good!

Started going through my collection today. I may end up needing a sponsor this time around as i can't make the 10 packets of 5-10 for all my varieties. I have a bunch I could so 2-3 of, so sigh. And of course I really want more oxhearts and have like zip extra so that is problematic. I hope this season some of mine grow out and I can manage to get a decent supply to be able to send in. It is probably sad that i spent my whole lunch time at work excitedly organizing and listing out my possibles for this year's trade already.
