A variety of patato we have down Under is called Carisma. This is a low GI variety that was stuck in some seed bank until it was realised that low GI is good for diabetics. I have grown it off and on for a number of years and missed a tuber while digging them last year. Nearly 9 lb off the one stem when I dug it this afternoon Photo shows weight in kg. Have had individual tubers go over 1 kg before, largest of this lot would be around 600 grams
