Easy Prime Rib Roast

I cooked one yesterday and it came out fantastic. I know there's many ways to cook one to perfection but this is fool proof.
Always let the roast come to room temp before throwing it in the oven, a few hours on the counter will make a difference between a roast nearly raw in the middle and overcooked on the edges.
Crank the oven to 500C, while it heating up I used canola oil as a binder and seasoned it with a salt, pepper, garlic seasoning.
Cook at 500C for 15 minutes then turn down the temp to 300C.
Insert a temp probe in the middle being sure you don't hit the bone and set the alarm for 132C.
Remove when it hits temp and set it on the counter to rest covered loosely in foil and keep the probe inserted.
Once the temp drops back down to 125 you can start slicing it.
