Happy Saturday Everyone! I am looking for Rebel Starfighter VT16 tomato for my garden friend. Anyone here have any seeds to trade or direct me to reliable website to purchase them? Thank you for any help you can provide

Is Rebel Starfighter VT16 the same as Marsha’s Starfighter or is that a newer cross?

I've never heard of Rebel Starfighter VT16, so I don't have it, but I do have one called Rebel Alliance. I wonder if it's related in any way besides the name? The Rebel Alliance is a dark tomato, mini-heart in shape, small salad in size, and I think multi floral and semi-determinate.

[mention]FarmerShawn[/mention] Rebel Starfighter (cross of Xanadu Picasso x RHK GWR Heart) and Rebel Alliance (cross of Not Purple Strawberry to Zluta Kytice) both have the same breeder, Russ Crowe, and both were introduced by Galactic Magic Seeds.

It's not newer, it's a different cultivar selected from the same cross. I grew the original F1 ftom Russ's cross that had all the Starfighter selections taken from it. I selected Marsha's Starfighter heart (no antho, yes brick red flesh and stripes), and Marsha's Starfighter Beefsteak, a striped beefsteak with antho and brick red flesh and huge production. Some Russian growers have them listed.

Thanks for the clarification, Marsha! I have seeds from you for the beefsteak but it did poorly for me last summer. Friends I shared plants with had better luck and said it was awesome. One saved seeds so we have a good supply now! Will be planting again this season and hope it performs better for me. I think I had some bad straw bales that may have been sprayed with something. Will be using new ones from a different vendor this year!

Hmm...now I'll have to do a growout of my saved seed (F7) of Marsha's Starfighter (Prime Heart F6). My memory is of an antho striped heart. But, I could be wrong.

That was my Rebel Starfighter VT 16...seeds were from Galactic Magic Seeds. 2021 I planted it from my seeds...

Here are my pictures from my Rebel Starfighter Prime (1st photo) and Starfighter VT16 (second photo)! Both very tasty although I liked the flavor and productivity of VT16 more! Would definitely grow them both again.
