All of a sudden it's starting to ripen. It wasn't like this two days ago.



This one seems to be about 3.5" long. And that pleated look seems to be filling in a bit as it fattens up. Can't wait to try it!

I discovered this morning that butterfly caterpillars like dill as much as they do parsley! These are future Black Swallowtails and they've about finished off both parsley and dill on the porch.




It's a good thing I have a four pack of parsley indoors under the lights. They're almost ready for potting up but I think I'll wait a bit before I put them out on the porch! There's a huge dill plant out on the pallets with the tomatoes. I'd better check on that!

Wow, there are so many and they look to be loving it.
