Flowers not opening?

Has anyone had this happen before? This is a Sweet Aperitif plant. The potential yield looks amazing but none of the flowers are actually opening properly, that little bit of yellow showing is as far as they get. Not a single fruit has set so far. The two other cherry tomatoes (different varieties) next to it are doing just fine.

I personally have not had this happen but I have heard of this happening to others and it was said that it was a genetic fault of the plant and that it just never produced. If it has been very hot lately, then I would wait and see what happens to it once it cools off some. It could just be very sensitive to the heat.i

Looking at this though, those buds do not look normal to me. They are wrapped tightly in that long green sheath which would make it very difficult for the buds to open. What a shame.

rossomendblot If it were me, i'd try cutting back the sheath a little on a few of them as an experiment to see if the flowers come out. It does look a little peculiar.

Yeah I think it's just some funky genetics, the leaves aren't great looking either (very short and curled). They looked fine when they were small plants though. Hopefully the plants I gave to other people aren't the same! It's a shame because it looks to be a prolific variety. I'll buy some new seed next year.

It's a good idea but I don't think I have the patience for it  Plenty of other tomatoes coming soon, this one's getting the chop tomorrow

I would think that the other plants that you gave away would be just fine. So sorry that this has happened.

I have this exact thing happening right now with one of my dwarfs. Curled leaves and the Multiflora type florescence that doesn't open. So I just left it alone for 3 months and just now some are opening. Maybe 3 or 4 flowers. Buds never dropped. So I left it. Maybe just see what happens?

I blamed the weather when it happened to me.
