And one of the plants in question is getting floppy. But the leaves are all green. Might it be too much fertilizer? I am using an organic tomato fertilizer - pro mix.

I'm having the same problem with one of my pepper plants. It apparently put on a growth spurt and flopped over. I put it down to all the rain we had recently.
BTW I notice that I'm not far away from you!

Yes, too much nitrogen will do that, just like with tomatoes, except there the effect is more subtle. Wet conditions increase that vegetative growth, so there is an overlap of various factors.

Thanks all. They seem better now.
I'm in South Ottawa, Linda. We just pulled our garlic!

I'm in Kingston. You pulled your garlic already? How did it look? I don't think mine have enough dead leaves on them yet - at least I hope not as it seems early to be harvesting! I forgot to pick all the scapes, so the ones left behind straightened up. Guess that's not great for the bulbs

Did you wait longer between waterings than usual? Some of my peppers in the ground looked like this when I waited about three days instead of two to water them. It just happened the other day.

No, I don't think I waited long before watering. I've been watering every day or once in 2 days for the last month or so quite consistently.
Linda, the garlic is fine. I think I picked it at the right time. I usually tend to pick it a little too late so I decided to air on a little early this time but I think they're good. Here a few photos. I've now cut off the tops in an attempt to reduce the overall humidity in the garage.

Your garlic looks lovely Salaam! Perhaps I left mine a little too late last year, as some of them began to sprout too early (like a month or two after harvesting)! Of course it could also be that I left them to dry in a very hot shed!
Do your peppers look happier now? Mine demanded cages which is a good thing as they often don't grow very tall.
