Every other day has been fairly warm , here. Which means I'd just like a simple sandwich, without the need to cook.

I...I...I.. I needed a store bought tomato.

I usually can make it to February. What have I become?

I was processing seeds yesterday and today, and I reached for a mystery container on the shelf with two paper bags in it... Score!!! :D The last pick of tomatoes when I cut down the last plants, mostly all ripened in the bags. Forgot all about them, and hadn't a thought of a fresh tomato until I opened the bag.
My deep freeze is loaded with many toms. No store bought for me. ;)

I still have some going, but they are in the shade now. I was thinking to move them to a sunny bed when I make it.

I bought some tomatoes from Costco last week. Flavor Bombs are the only fresh tomatoes that I will eat until next August.

It's a shame I can't include a small beefsteak in my MMMM packet...

I'm out of beefsteaks, but I still have a Premus plant which I moved indoors and the last of M's Sun Sugar which are ripening on the window sill. They were a real treat and I'm going to miss them. I'm currently researching dehydrators because I'd like to make my own dried tomatoes next year to help get me through the winter.

I'm ashamed to say...I bought...two.

The first one was actually OK, almost equal to the best ultra early varieties that I've tried. Almost a 6 on my scale. The second one was pale red, wet cardboard. Perhaps I was spoiled this year. I was eating a few SunGolds every day until just a few days ago. It was the second longest season that I've ever had.
