Baked Bacon.

Something I've never done myself but have had possibly the worst example of.
Baked bacon.
It was obviously cooked in a blast furnace more suitable for smelting raw iron ore into cast pig iron and not suitable for any animal 'including the most wretched of poor poverty stricken men, women or small children to consume.
It was literally burned to a hard concrete like crisp with all flavor cooked out of it except maybe the slight hint of a pile of the most sulfurous of cheap coal only the poor would purchase.
(((If tossed out.)))
A Redbone hound of the most dreadful of tastes would most certainly move on to another backyard to see what the occupancy of the household may have put out for the poor strayes of the village to snack on.
Well today marks the end of that day upon which I have never baked bacon.
After looking at several techniques by the rich and well informed I decided on baking at 300F on a rack set over a cast iron skillet in the oven.
This allows the fat to render out without burning the bacon to an inedible slice of charcoal.
Burned cured meat is very unhealthy as well.
So far it's looking very appealing to the human eye.
I may never fry bacon again as it remains flat and appealing to the tastes of the visual as well as the palate.
I think even the hounds would agree.
Lord's and Ladies I present to you Baked Bacon at 300F.
