Welcome from Pittsburgh! Are you planning to soak them beforehand? I've heard that soaking them in water with some Miracle-Grow blue plant food can help the oldies generate. What varieties are you planting?

I usually just plant in coir and see what happens. This time I might soak a few hrs and plant.. Not sure what all I will be planting yet because I have few seeds a ton of varieties. Definitely Atkinson, brandywine, Black Krim....okay I will put a list as soon as I get them planted and they come up. In the past I have planted way too many and end up hocking tomato and pepper plants to everyone I know lol.

Thank you everyone! I have been home with covid so have not done much except think. I got my seed starting medium in late afternoon. Will go though and list everything I have. I have some seeds from two suppliers that no longer sell so for sure I will use some of those. This is about a quarter of what I have

Hello Kat. Welcome to the Junction

Howdy, from Austin, Texas. Good luck with your seed-starting. Planted tomato seeds here on Dec. 28, 2021. Most germinated. Of those that did not, went back to the envelope(s) and took a few of each. Soaked them overnight in shot glasses holding dilute Miracle Gro. We'll know the results in a few days.
