Hello everyone. Have had a garden off and on since about 2005 or so. About to start some seeds from 2007 to 2014. Have to see how it will go

Welcome from Pittsburgh! Are you planning to soak them beforehand? I've heard that soaking them in water with some Miracle-Grow blue plant food can help the oldies generate. What varieties are you planting?

I usually just plant in coir and see what happens. This time I might soak a few hrs and plant.. Not sure what all I will be planting yet because I have few seeds a ton of varieties. Definitely Atkinson, brandywine, Black Krim....okay I will put a list as soon as I get them planted and they come up. In the past I have planted way too many and end up hocking tomato and pepper plants to everyone I know lol.

Welcome to the Junction @Kat! Glad to have you on board here. I'm looking forward to see how your old seeds do. I started several varieties from 2014 last year and had great germination with them.

ImageThank you everyone! I have been home with covid so have not done much except think. I got my seed starting medium in late afternoon. Will go though and list everything I have. I have some seeds from two suppliers that no longer sell so for sure I will use some of those. This is

about a quarter of what I have

Howdy, from Austin, Texas. Good luck with your seed-starting. Planted tomato seeds here on Dec. 28, 2021. Most germinated. Of those that did not, went back to the envelope(s) and took a few of each. Soaked them overnight in shot glasses holding dilute Miracle Gro. We'll know the results in a few days.
