What will you be doing New Year's Eve/New Year's Day? Do you have any traditions?
Tonight we might go downtown (or as we say it in Pittsburgh, "dahntahn") to the arts, music, & fireworks they have.
We have a traditional food for New Year: cucumber dip and potato chips. It might not be good for you but its awfully tasty. New Year's Day will be spent with DH, Mum, Sis, & whoever else shows up at Mum's house, scarfing up dip & chips.
Cuke Dip
2 medium or smaller cucumbers
8 oz. Neufchatel cream cheese, room temp (regular can be substituted)
2 Tbsp Worcestershire sauce or more to taste
Salt to taste
Peel cucumbers. Shred. Drain, reserving liquid. Mix together shredded cucumbers, cream cheese, and Worcestershire sauce plus enough of reserved cucumber sauce to make mixture a good dipping consistency (About half the liquid). Add salt & more Worcestershire sauce to taste. Serve with potato chips.
