I thought it would be fun to kind of poll everyone's favorites for different colors, sizes, etc. I started with this because I want to grow a few GWR cherries next year to try to find our favorite. I've grown several larger green tomatoes, but I've only grown a couple of cherries. I'd love to know your favorite and why you like it!

This is a tough one! I’d say it’s a toss up for me between Lucky Tiger - great flavor, early, productive & Amber Keyes - one of my favorite tomatoes last year, multiflora (extremely productive), very tasty on the sweet side, produced early and until first frost

Sungreen 4029 is great. Hard to pick at peak ripeness, but so sweet when you do. Also a hybrid so no seed saving

I've yet to trial any green cherries. So, I'll only comment on GWR cherry requests for seeds. Hands down it is Green Doctors Frosted.

Hmm. The closest thing I've grown to a green when ripe cherry is probably Green Tiger (a small bullet-shaped tomato). I wouldn't call it a cherry, though, but it's really sweet and great-tasting. They get wrinkly in my garden, though.

I wonder if others would list Green Doctors and Green Doctors Frosted (but I haven't tried them, personally).

I find Lucky Tiger and Green Tiger to be very similar, however I think I like Green Tiger a bit better. For the purposes of this discussion we can lump these elongated tomatoes into the "cherry" category, can't we? While I'm on the Artisan jag, Green Bee is certainly not for everyone, however I'm hoping Lucky Bee becomes my new favorite green tomato this year.

Yes! I should have said cherry, grape, etc. because I not overly concerned with the shape. I almost grew Lucky Tiger this year but decided to try Lucky Bee instead. I thought Amber Keyes looked really interesting but didn't end up ordering from where ever I saw it this year. And I never noticed Sungreen 4029 when I made my Johnny's order this year. I've tried GD Frosted twice at work years ago. One year we had a tornado and the other a flood so I don't really have a fair assessment of the variety.

Thanks for these suggestions! I wish I didn't have such limited space these days because I would love to trial everything.

Green doctor's frosted has great flavor. Sungreen has great yield.

It is slightly off topic because it is a saladette and not a cherry, but I like Brad's Atomic Grape, an antho gwr.

Green Tiger and Lucky Tiger are very tasty and I couldn't tell the difference between the two .

I have only tried Green Doctors Frosted and it was quite good. I was going to try Verde Claro this year, but I ended up choosing something else.

I had Amber Keyes in my lineup this year, but they refused to germinate. I tried twice, second time I stuck about 8 seeds in one pot, but nothing. I was really hoping to try it. I was wanting a good, slightly unusual, tomato to bring to market. After the first ones failed to germinate, I looked through my seeds to find another small tomato that could work and decided on Candy Sweet Icicle. Different color, but a nice tomato for the farmers market.

I've grown a cherry I've got from Sweden from Åke Truedsson - All Green Cherry.That is a very sweet cherry and I like it very much.But I also like Green Doctors and Green Doctors Frosted.This year I'm growing a couple of new ones to me green cherries.Hope they will be great too, can't imagine they won't.

No seed saving for "normal" people. But, I'm fairly sure in the world of tomato people (being not quite normal), there is likely one or more saving seeds.

Here's another vote for either Green Doctor's, or Green Doctor's Frosted. I much prefer Lucky Tiger over Green Tiger. I kind of liked Green Zebra Cherry, but had some trouble in my garden getting presentable fruit. I also liked Green Grape when I grew it.

Brad's Atomic Grape has a unique flavour that I really like. Out of 5 people 4 liked it a lot but the 5th was revolted by it. She prefers a tomato with a lot of acid while Brad's was all sweet.

Another Green Doctor's Frosted vote here. I haven't grown a ton of GWR cherries, but really liked it. A bit later than most cherries, but worth the wait.

Sister Keyes is a favorite around here. I think it's quite similar to Amber Keyes. It's not a multi flora, but we tend to get a lot of tomatoes off it and they taste great. My youngest daughter is especially fond of it.

I saw it recommended several times last year and I was going to try it out but didn't get the seed ordered in time. It's on the list for next year!
