It started off as a 24" chinese suyo long cuke with prickles and after a few generations of saved seed it looks like the English cukes you buy in the store wrapped, shorter and smooth.
Just wonder how this year's output will be.
I planted seeds today.

no bragging rights when they keep getting smaller and smaller.
You have to ziplock bag them as soon as you pick or they go ran out of viagra syndrome fast.
Just like the english cukes if you ever wondered why they are condomized.

I used cardboard egg cartons cut the tops off and use underneath for added support.
With egg prices the way they are I want added value for my money.
No helmet heads.Heat makes a lot of difference.
85w food warming trays on 1/2 voltage on a box I wired up to a cord.
Both cartons in one 2.5 gal zipper ziplock bag to keep the freshness in.

I did lazytown on some of the seeds and just planted them on their sides.
They didn't pop up yet or have exposed roots and are trying to stand upright.
1 helmet head.
3 seeds per hole, so 72 seeds to deal with total.
