I hacked away at a plant in the house that was up to the ceiling and just threw the branches down in trays and covered with wet dirt watered every day.
Some branches had blossoms. After about a month they were ready to put outside under cheesecloth.
I just exposed them to sunlight today and have one or 2 green tomatoes.
So they aren't very finicky about the amount of leaves per branch or that fact they have blossoms.
or branch length.
