The dark pink one looks color-enhanced but it isn't.

Is one color penta more attractive to pollinators than the others?

Yes, that hot, neon pink is intense. I see that it is a light colour in the center. Not long ago I read that bees are attracted to white so that would make sense to have a little white to draw them in.

Hmmmm.....I haven't noticed, but that's a good question.

In my yard this past season, I had white, lavender and red penta's. I found it interesting that the lavendar had virtually no pollinator activity. Perhaps it is due to lower nectar levels or could it be the light color? Red attracted the most feeders. I just found it rather interesting. I do not remember the cultivar names, that may make a difference too. Just wondering if anyone else noticed the same thing with their plants.

Very pretty! Are those named selections or grow outs from seed? Nifty!

They were nursery purchases. I'm sure they were named varieties, but I didn't hold on to the tags. The medium pink color one will be 3 years old this summer. The other two colors have been blooming since early summer 2019. All of the plants have a little bit of cold damage from a cold snap we had in November. A very hard freeze will kill the plants, but those are rare.
