I'm growing Elgin Pink for the first time. I selected the PL seedling over the RL.

This might sound like a stupid question but is Elgin Pink really pink? Mine looks more like a black and has the typical green shoulders. Whatever it is, should be tasty :).

Elgin Pink is pink. I can be RL or PL from what people have said. Mine were PL and pink but may also have been a cross so I have heard.

As expected (for a Black PL) it tastes divine :).

I see Elgin Pink is still throwing out a lot of off-types. I recommend saving seeds and doing a couple of growouts. Sourced from Wild Thyme, most variations have exceptional flavor, from what I've heard and experienced. I'm currently working on "Elbonian Mudslinger", the best black I've ever tasted, which came from my saved seed of Elgin Pink.

I am now working on growing out a RL version of 'Elbonian Mudslinger'. It has the working name of Elbonian Puddle Duck.

I'll be peeking for more info on that duck.

That's a great idea Tormato! What Filial Generation are you up to with Elbonian Mudslinger?
