Never had a large header before that I can remember. Now this afternoon I have one, along with the photo split horizontally by the info bar with the quick links, notifications etc. Bar was always under the picture, not in the middle of it.

Mine is back to the normal size. The slight inconvenience, a bit of extra scrolling, lasts about one day.

I'm curious about those that get the split picture with the info bar in the middle, whether you can delete cookies when you have the large header. When I get the large header, I can't delete cookies.

When I had the large header, I deleted cookies but it didn't make any difference.

I did nothing, but this morning it is back to normal size. Yay!

I turn off my computer every night, but that did not make any difference the last 3 or so days during the big header. I did notice, that every time, just before the double wide page loaded there were about five lines of code on a white screen that would flash up too fast to read. I use Firefox on a Mac, ran Malwarebytes found nothing.

I think the internet gremlins are just fooling with us.

It would help if anyone could do a screenshot when it occurs...I can create something similar to what is shown below and the delete cookie option is gone. Is this what has been occurring? If so, your zoom option is being adjusted... but why it is occurring is a mystery.

I saw that, but I am looking for an example as to how it looks when it occurs and if it only occurs on this site. I am using a Mac and in Safari preferences I enlarged the zoom to 200% and got a larger header. And I lost the option to delete cookies, similar to what someone else had mentioned. It seems that somehow the forum software is being told to enlarge the header on some members screens and others have no issues. I have yet to see anything amiss on my end...

I'm no longer having this problem, but I did save a copy of the split screen I had a few days ago. My "Grab" program only can save what's on screen at the time, so the bottom of the lower screen is cut off, but no menus were there, just in the center.

@pondgardner that is exactly what I was seeing when I started this thread but before the page loaded the error I copied would flash quickly on the screen.

I had it for about 2 days and it went away on it's own with no interaction from me. I am using a PC with chrome or Edge and it looked the same on both.

Looked the same after deleting cookies as well.

I logged out and logged in to the forum again and no change in the header.

So I too now have the big banner. I had cleared my history and my cookies prior to coming on to the site. It was okay until I logged on and then as soon as I did the 'big banner' came.

Welcome to my world.

The banner is fine while I am not logged in but as soon as I log in, here is the big banner. Go figure...
