I'm not sure this is the right place to put this so if you want to move it go ahead.

I grow a lot of sunflowers. Sometimes the birds eat the seeds off the plants. Sometimes I bag the flowers so I have seeds for next year. Plus I like to save seeds to feed the birds during the winter.

So my question is does anyone have any good ideals on how to easily remove the seeds from the flowers.
I have just been doing it my hand, but that takes a lot of time if you have a lot of flowers.

have you tried letting the seed heads get nice and dry, and then banging them around in a container such as a garbage can?
i would think most seeds would fall out. do several at one time. i haven't done it, so some trial, and error may be needed.

I have twenty or so huge sunflower heads full of seeds. The birds actually land on the flower and peck away. I think after the heads dry out if there are seeds left I will cut the flowers and put them on a picnic table for the birds (maybe squirrels and raccoons) to have at.

Sounds like a good problem to have...

In the past, would harvest the heads and put a hole through the back of it with some twine, let them dry and hang the heads in a small tree for the birds 1 at a time or so.

For our seeds just dried them out in a big paper sacks and then rub them off wearing the garden gloves. Easier than shelling corn, LOL.
