A MASS MAILING

There has been a problem with a PM titled "Nematode Control". It was meant to be a PM but inadvertently became a mass mailing. DO NOT REPLY to this PM or everyone in the forum will be receiving your response.

When writing a PM check to see who your audience is before you push send. In this case the "Registered users" was used so every member has received this PM.

As funny as this can be when it happens once in a while....I wonder if there is a way to put a password protect on
Recipient: Registered users

Or even disable the whole "Add Groups" box!

That's a possibility but many of you have used this function to reach the admin.

Yep, it was me. I apologize for any pain or inconvenience this may have caused.

"When writing a PM check to see who your audience is before you push send. In this case the "Registered users" was used so every member has received this PM."

I don't know how "Registered Users was used". I didn't (knowingly) do anything with "Registered Users". I simply typed in my intended recipients' ID.

Be that as it may, if you happen to have nematodes, perhaps the info may help you, lol.

Again, my apologies.

Rick

@rdback No worries. It's happened before and we all have a good sense of humor. :D

No worries. It's doesn't bother me (it makes life more interesting), and it's not your fault. I am wondering how it's happening on accident, though. There must be something that people occasionally do that triggers it. It doesn't seem to have anything to do with pressing tab, though, like I thought it might.

@Shule All that one needs to do is accidentally hit the Registered User's button. It won't show up that you have hit it unless you preview your message. If it's previewed then you will see it in the Recipients list so it's easier to do than one would think. If you hit it and don't preview it then you won't have a clue as to what you have done until a little bit later...
