I remember Galina as a healthy, tidy, reliable PL plant ...... not in my Top 10 for flavour

I've never found Sungold very disease-resistant, and I thought Galina was tasteless

. Would Blush count? At least it's very tasty!

I’ve never put it in a pot but Honeycomb has been a strong one for me these past 8 months. I think worth a shot.

The only cherry I grow, either in ground or pots is Sungold. I do occasionally add Blush or Maglia Rosa but it's mainly for their elongated shape. SG only for the flavor. No disease issues here.

What diseases are we talking about? There are a lot of them, and resistance to one doesn't necessarily mean resistance to any of the others.
SunGold is supposed to resist Verticilium, two kinds of Fusarium, root knot nematodes, and a certain mosaic virus (not late blight, early blight, Septoria, TSWV, TYLCV, bacterial wilt, every other mosaic virus, powdery mildew, etc.)
