a couple years ago, i grew indian jwahl from old seeds.
i wintered over a plant in doors, and had it for a second year.
i tried wintering over the plant again, and it died fairly early in the winter.
i did not move the pot out of the living room right away. i left it there for mebbe
a couple months. i know, i know, why did i leave a dead plant in the room that long for?
so, i finally decided to move the bucket with the dead plant, and i saw something green.
it was a small pepper plant! i have no idea how it managed to grow. the bucket had not been
watered for at least a couple months. it was sitting in the living room with a wood stove going
most of the time, so nice and warm, and dry. i accidentally broke off most of the root base except
for a stump, so placed it in water to revive before replanting it. it seems to be doing ok.
this is one tough pepper. i guess i have to keep it.

Were you able to save seeds from that first plant?

oh yeah, i sent some into the swap for 2021/22.
very popular in indian cooking. i tried a tiny, tiny piece when i was deseeding them,
and got concerned when the heat kept building. they are mild when compared to the
super hots, but hot in and of them selves. i brought some to church for a korean woman.
her husband said she dipped them in sauce, and ate them. she likes HOT.

and i will add, i still have some seeds, should you need some sent to jaw ja
i have you address.

I wonder if it was able to draw water from the dead plant and its roots.
It is the weak who are the glory of the strong.

Upon being grilled over hot coals, Saint Lawrence is said to have declared, “Turn me over. I’m done on this side.”
