Re: Amaryllis - Hippeastrum
I was trying to up load from a camera sd card. I got through all the steps but then there is no way to attach it to the message. just a caution symbol in the "add file" box where the status header is. I have even resized it down to 1000 x 750 pixels. maybe thats still too large?MissS wrote: ↑Thu Mar 19, 2020 4:09 pm If you are uploading a picture from your computer it isn't hard at all once you have done it. Use the 'Full Editor & Preview' button select 'attachments' from the left hand side and then you can just drag and drop your photo or if you would rather there is a button to upload files from your computer.

Oooo, look at the sparkly fairy dust on the orange one. She just glimmers in the sun. Some of these flowers have that and I just love to see them glow.

I'm not sure what the issue is, but if you can't get it to work, you can always try using a third-party service like imgbb (however, your image will be publicly visible if you do that). To do that, go to https://imgbb.com and upload your image(s) (no account required). Then copy the full BB code and paste it into your post.Clkeiper wrote: ↑Fri Mar 20, 2020 7:15 amI was trying to up load from a camera sd card. Hopefully we'll figure out what's going on for you, though.

What type of file extension is it, I think I have everyone added already so it should work.Shule wrote: ↑Fri Mar 20, 2020 1:01 pmI'm not sure what the issue is, but if you can't get it to work, you can always try using a third-party service like imgbb (however, your image will be publicly visible if you do that). So, there's no place inline button? If not, then I think you're right that it's the dimensions of the picture, the file size, the file format, or something like that. How big is the file? What are the dimensions of the image? What file format is it?

What are the requirements for image uploads here?

Re: Amaryllis - Hippeastrum
All these extensions and no size limit. She's referring to the caution sign that turns yellow indicating a file that's not allowed, I think it should give a message if you click on it.

Re: Amaryllis - Hippeastrum
its .JPG file
I am using my SD card from my camera
the size is 626kb
and the status is a yellow caution symbol
I resized it to a 1000x 700? size photo.
I am not really tech savvy so I am not sure what you are asking.
no inline button anywhere.

[/img] <<<<<<<<<<<< this is all that loads
I can't figure it out and neither can my son who actually does IT for a college. maybe its just my computer and not the site. I am still using a window 7 and perhaps there is no compatibility since it is no longer supported through windows?

Re: Amaryllis - Hippeastrum
it doesn't matter. I can take photos with my camera and upload directly from there. I was trying to upload a photo from last year of my amaryllis. I was just feeling very stupid at trying to post a photo.

Re: Amaryllis - Hippeastrum
Yes, ABSOLUTELY STUNNING!! It's in a pot? I inherited a Giant Amaryllis when I "married on" here. It's a "hardy" variety, I guess, as it grows ,in-ground, outside year round. I'll try to post a picture tomorrow...
I have 2 seasons: Tomato and pepper season, and BAMA Football season!

Re: Amaryllis - Hippeastrum
thank you. I have had this for almost 30 years. I had it when we lived in our first house and we lived there only 2 years and have been married 30 now.
it is potted and has numerous about 6" bulbs in the pot. I have repotted it a couple times and it is in dire need of it again. it is such a huge heavy pot I have a hard time moving it around. each bulb has two flower stalks now. I never knew they would do that.
