The Garden Time Warp

It's amazing when you look back even a month and see how fast some things grow in that time. Here's the watermelon patch (if two plants can be called a patch!) back on Jun 7.
And here it is today, just 32 days later. There are four melons hiding in there and lots of little 1-2" babies.
The Beach Sunflower bed on June 22...
... and here they are on July 7, just two weeks later!

It's like being in a time warp. It seems like a long time since the sunflowers were that short but it's been just two weeks. But it feels like it hasn't been that long ago since New years Day and it's been half a year. Before long it will be time to thaw the Thanksgiving turkey, get out the Christmas decorations and this year's garden will be just a pleasant memory encased in photographs.
