Attempting to grow this variety this year but I'm doubtful that the seeds I got are growing true to type.

The pics and description on Tatiana's tomato base as well as Victory Seeds don't look like what I'm getting. I might be willing to try this variety again next year if I thought my chances of getting the correct seed were good. Anyone have a suggestion for a commercial source that would grow true to type ?

Victory Seeds has it, and I've always had luck with whatever I got from them. I don't remember where I got my original seeds, I have saved Prue seeds for a long time, but I don't bag blossoms so can't guarantee purity. They do have some variation in shape on the same plant, some more pointy, some with a bit rounder bottoms, but most generally are the bomb shape. Your third picture has some that might fit, the top picture does look too round. Were your plants noticeably wispy/droopy when young compared to other regular RL's?

Prue - true to type.
Ha! Gotta laugh at that one. In my experience, it is one of the most variable-shaped varieties there is. Just look at the picture gallery at Tatiana's.
For me, virtually all fruit will be slightly elongated to very elongated, fat plums to skinny hearts. One of the most distinguishing features that I've seen is that a lot of fruit are lop-sided, with shoulders higher on one side than the other.

Ya I get it, but I'm not seeing any fruit like you have described or Victory Seed does or Tatiana does. Also they are much smaller than described. So I'm looking to try again next year if I can get good seed.

Yes they were "wispy/droopy" when young but grew out of it after a couple of months.
