Sugar Kiss melons
We love Sugar Kiss melons. The problem is the only place that sells them is 45 miles away and seeds are not available. It is a hybrid that is only grown by one farm. Does anybody know of another melon that is as good and as sweet as Sugar Kiss?
We have grown melons from seeds saved from Sugar Kiss melons and as expected they are not the same, good but not as good as the real Sugar Kiss.

No, it is a cantaloupe. The best I have had, and I usually do not like cantaloupe.

I grew Sugar Cube this year and absolutely loved it. Unfortunately, it’s a hybrid so no seed saving but it has the most appealing creamy texture, hard to describe. Very sweet.
Just fyi, for a good honeydew Diplomat F1 was excellent; we are finishing our last one this morning.
Happy to send you a few seeds of either or both, just message with your address.

My wife had already told me she wanted to grow Sugar Cube next year. We have grown Golden Honeymoon honeydews for a couple of years and like them. I might take you up on your generous offer, but only if you take some seeds in return. I will let you know later.

Re: Sugar Kiss melons
This is the first year in a quite a few that I didn't bother with any melons. I have to say, I don't miss the disappointment when the few that survive the bugs end up splitting.
I was super impressed with Sarah's Choice, grown around here, probably 8 years back. But it was hybrid and the seeds never stayed true. It is still the best cantaloupe I've had. Good luck in your search Vanman.
