Hello everyone.
The wife & I have been growing Organic fruits & vegetables for 52 years & keep looking for new treats to grow.
I joined to talk & learn more about Tomato blights that plague us here in western NC.
Last season we grew Plum regale, Brandy wine, & sweet appertief.
We grew 40 pepper plants & 12 different varieties. Yet only 3 varieties' of tomatoes' due to the Blights.

Happy to be here, hope I can bring as much as I take.

Hi Marturo. I am going to try the Plum Regal this year as well as Mountain Gem and Mountain Magic.
2023 was a nasty year for blights all around the east coast for sure, so here's hoping that 2024 is not as bad.
I'm glad you're here to share your experience!! :)

Edited to add: I am also scouting for more blight resistant tomato varieties! I got a sweet handful to try from Nicky's swap, and I've seen a few commented in the papers I've read. Hard to find documented heirlooms with resistance but a few were mentioned - Aunt Ginny's Purple and Prudens Purple come to mind as they might stand in for the Brandywine.
