Beefy Red and Beefy Purple

I just heard about these two new releases from Cream of the Crop: Beefy Red (index.?) and Beefy Purple (det.), both OP slicers. I want to try one of them, but haven't decided which one! I wonder how the purple one differs from Polaris and Cherokee Purple.
