Hi from England, UK

Hi from the UK. I am known as Maf and some of you will likely know me as I have posted on various tomato forums over the years, on and off. There are quite a few names here I recognise from some of the other forums from years back, and I guess there are others going by different handles than I would know them by. Probably won't be posting too much but just thought I would put up an introduction. I have browsed this forum occasionally over the last couple of years or so and eventually decided to join up.

I grow tomatoes (and a few peppers) mainly in greenhouses given UK weather, but often outside also, and have dabbled a little in breeding tomatoes over the years. Always interested in discussions of tomato genetics, breeding projects and methods etc (natural breeding, not GMO).

Thanks! The avatar tomatoes are a selection from a growout I did of an early generation Tom Wagner's 'Healthy Colors'. Old photo that one, but I grew it again last year. Good flavour, colour and shape but didn't have the hoped for late blight resistance.

Couldn't find any information on that variety, but the Ananas Noire is the lovely and long suffering Mrs. Gotch's FAVE!

I also got some yellow/orange/red normal bicolors without the green from that Tom Wagner cross. I wouldn't be surprised if Ananas Noire was one of the parents but he never (to my knowledge) disclosed what they were.
